జీవిత చరిత్ర
Enci was born and raised in Hungary during its Communist era. When she was five, her mother fled to Germany, leaving Enci and her sister in Hungary for five years. During this period, they lived with their father, grandparents, surrogate teachers, classmates, and often alone in a small studio apartment.
At ten and a half, Enci emigrated to West Germany and reunited with her mother. Adapting to a new language, culture, school system, and making friends was challenging. She participated in numerous activities such as tennis, theater, European handball, studied computer technology and chemistry, and engaged in various arts programs.
At sixteen, Enci ran away from home and was homeless for about two weeks before entering a foster home, where she stayed for just over a year. At eighteen, she experienced homelessness again for nearly a year. During this time, she enrolled in college to study psychology and also moved to Los Angeles.
Upon arriving in the U.S., she learned English and worked various under-the-table jobs, including house cleaning, babysitting, dog sitting, and bartending. She began modeling and collaborated with a photographer who taught her photography.
Enci started acting, supplementing her income with photography and modeling jobs. She also taught herself web design to better promote her acting and photography work.
After meeting her future husband, Stephen Box, in 2002, she took up cycling in Los Angeles. Since then, she has used her bike to get to auditions, photo shoots, jobs, and for leisure.
Together, Enci and Stephen founded illuminateLA and the Bike Writers Collective, organizations dedicated to promoting and advocating for cycling and alternative transportation in Los Angeles.
She served on the Board of Women In Theatre from 2006 to 2008.
Since 2006, Enci has been a member of the SAG Conservatory Committee and the CalTrans 7 Bicycle Advisory Committee.
In 2007, she joined the SkyPilot Theatre Company, debuting in the production "Taking Sides" by Ronald Harwood.
Enci is also involved in the international production of "Voices From Chornobyl," adapted from the book of the same name and directed by Cindy Marie Jenkins.
She has worked in both New York and Los Angeles, appearing in print campaigns, commercials, theater productions, and films.
Enci stays active on stage and in front of the camera, and when time allows, she enjoys cycling in Critical Mass rides, with the Midnight Ridazz, or organizing her own rides throughout the city.
