జీవిత చరిత్ర
Born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Maxwele D'Angelo was raised in Boston, Massachusetts, where he aspired to become an actor. He combines the passion and intensity of Al Pacino with the playfulness and comedic timing of Robin Williams. His acting debut was as Nathan Detroit in a middle school production of Guys and Dolls. "He was amazing!" praised his mother.
Maxwele’s dedication to acting took him to New York City, where he earned his BFA from The Juilliard School. During his time at Juilliard, he portrayed various roles including George Murchison in A Raisin in the Sun, Tom Moody in Odets’ The Golden Boy, Antiochus in Shakespeare's Pericles, and Tybalt, Balthazar, and the Nurse in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. While studying, he discovered his philanthropic side by joining ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty), teaching drama to middle and high school students in Homestead, Florida. After graduation, he was commissioned to write a play about Martin Luther King Jr. titled MLK History for the Eugene O'Neill Theatre in Costa Rica. There, he embraced the local culture and conducted acting workshops at the University of Costa Rica, learning the true meaning of the Costa Rican motto, “Pura Vida.”
Soon after relocating to Hollywood, Maxwele secured his first co-star role in the pilot episode of Rizzoli & Isles. He has since appeared in numerous TV shows and commercials, including recent roles on ABC’s The Goldbergs, Wicked City, Grey’s Anatomy, and Netflix’s Grace and Frankie. Committed to his craft, he aims to become the first Brazilian actor to win an Oscar.
Maxwele also dedicates himself to giving back through his involvement with Shakespeare and Friends, a nonprofit acting company that brings Shakespeare to low-income middle and high school students across greater Los Angeles. Recently, he returned from China, where he taught acting at a musical theatre camp to over one hundred children of various ages.
Maxwele D'Angelo expresses gratitude to his family, friends, manager, and the many teachers and mentors who have supported him throughout his journey.
