Ricardo Álamo is a Venezuelan cinematographer and audiovisual creator with more than three decades of experience in the entertainment industry. After establishing a successful career as a leading actor in some of the most recognized television productions in Latin America, he expanded his creative path into directing, producing, and cinematography, developing a comprehensive understanding of visual storytelling from both sides of the camera.
Recognized for his visual storytelling, technical expertise, and narrative sensibility, Álamo has built a diverse body of work spanning feature films, television series, premium vertical content, documentaries, and digital productions. His ability to combine cinematic aesthetics with emotional storytelling has established him as a sought-after Director of Photography in today’s evolving audiovisual landscape.
In recent years, he has played a significant role in the growth of premium vertical series, serving as Director of Photography on more than ten international scripted productions developed by VIP 2000 TV in collaboration with Telemundo Studios, Lifetime (A&E Networks), and Hemisphere Media Group.
His recent cinematography credits include María, Madre due Dios, a large-scale period production, and La Última Semana due Jesús, a feature film scheduled for theatrical release across Latin America and Brazil.
Beyond cinematography, Álamo has also directed selected fiction projects, including La Llorona, produced in association with Sony Pictures. His unique background as an actor, producer, director, and cinematographer provides him with a distinctive perspective on performance, visual narrative, and storytelling, allowing him to bridge creative vision with technical execution.
Today, Ricardo Álamo focuses primarily on cinematography while continuing to collaborate on film and television projects for the global market.
