Chuanda Mason was born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in Odenton, Maryland, as a military brat. Her mother is Korean, and her father is African-American. She grew up in a middle-class family in the suburbs of Anne Arundel County and has a twin sister as well as a younger sister. Chuanda is a single mother to a son.
She began her acting career in 2006 after spending four years modeling in the Maryland/DC area as a fashion and glamour model. Chuanda entered the modeling world following her service in the military as a U.S. Army Sergeant. She is best known for her appearances in popular men’s magazines such as Blackmen’s Magazine, King Magazine, XXL Magazine, and Show Magazine. She also modeled for various regional and national urban magazines, advertisements, and calendars, including the 2007 Seagram’s Gin Calendar.
After moving to Los Angeles, she secured roles on two hit television shows, most notably BET’s Hell Date. This show was an ideal platform for Chuanda to showcase her natural comedic talent on camera. She aspires to be known as the "black Jenny McCarthy," combining her striking looks with a great sense of humor. “With Hollywood calling my name, the future is bright, and I hope to land my dream role as a regular on a hit sitcom,” she shared.
Following her appearance on BET’s Hell Date, Chuanda competed on NBC’s American Gladiator, where she proved she was more than just a pretty face. She faced off against Gladiators twice her size, demonstrating her toughness and athleticism. A lifelong tomboy, Chuanda is a highly athletic woman.
After her stint on American Gladiator, Chuanda discovered a passion for writing. Drawing from her personal experiences and inspired by Hell Date, she wrote and published her first book, *Love Made Me Crazy*, with AuthorHouse. After a brief book tour, she returned to college to pursue a degree. She is currently a full-time student at California State University Northridge, majoring in Screenwriting, and is actively working on her second feature film script, with plans to have both movies produced.
