Lenn Kudrjawizki's family relocated with him from Leningrad (USSR) to East Berlin during his childhood. At four years old, Lenn performed on stage with the Leningrad State Ballet. At five, he became fascinated by a violin his father retrieved from the attic, an instrument that would play a significant role in his life. He later attended a secondary music school in Berlin, where he studied acting, voice, and violin. In Dresden, he honed his violin skills and earned a Master of Arts in Music in 2003.
In 1994, Lenn made his television debut as a teenager, portraying Wladimir in the film Katrin and Wladimir. He then appeared in Jean-Jacques Annaud's Duel - Enemy at the Gates, followed by Alain Gsponer's feature film Kiki & Tiger. From 2001 to 2006, Lenn was a regular cast member on the acclaimed RTL series Abschnitt 40. Since then, he has acted in over 50 TV and feature film productions, including Pope Joan, The Counterfeiters (winner of the 2008 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film), Paramount Pictures' Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit directed by Kenneth Branagh, and most recently The Transporter Refueled, written and produced by Luc Besson. Since 2016, Lenn has returned as a detective in the Kroatien Krimi series for ARD (national German television).
Lenn made his directorial debut in 2007 with the short film Today Is My Day. His second project as director and writer was Thank You Mr. President (2009), which toured international festivals successfully and won the prestigious Murnau Prize.
In 2014, Lenn directed his third short film, Business As Usual - The Prophet on Board, which earned the Amnesty International Human Rights Award. Additionally, he founded the world's first sustainable orchestra, The Berlin Show Orchestra, through his company Legrain Productions, promoting a sustainability concept focused on CO2 reduction.
Lenn is a member of the German Film Academy.
