జీవిత చరిత్ర
Shelly Shenoy, born Michelle E. Smith in Denver, Colorado, is the daughter of Mary Dunning (an artist and teacher) and Mark Smith (a consultant and author). She has German, Irish, and Swedish heritage. Shenoy began acting at the age of four with the Imaginating Dramatics Company and appeared in her first television commercial by seven. At eighteen, she was accepted into The Young Americans, a prestigious musical theater organization. After completing three national tours and two years of college on the road, Shenoy relocated to New York City in 2002 to pursue an acting career.
By 2004, Shenoy joined the all-female sketch comedy troupe "The Brothel," performing alongside Margaret Rose Champagne (Inside Amy Schumer) and Marisa Miller Wolfson (Vegucated). Her writing debut, "Girlscouts," won Chicago's Reject-Fest and earned a primetime Saturday night performance at The Funniest Week in Chicago in 2007. The show outperformed the SNL Alumni Showcase that evening and secured The Brothel a full-page feature in Time Out Chicago and Time Out New York.
In 2007, Shenoy shifted her focus exclusively to on-camera legitimate acting. Although passionate about film and television, her voice-over career quickly took precedence. She secured her first principal voice role as Mickey in the animated series Casper the Friendly Ghost: Casper Goes to Scare School (Cartoon Network, Netflix). By the end of the first season, before the show relocated to California, Shenoy voiced 25 additional characters, including fan favorites FlyBoy, Harpo, Dummy Girl, and the School Nurse.
In 2012, Shenoy landed her first film role as Tara in 8:46, earning a mention in The New York Times review as "a newcomer to watch." The film won Best Ensemble Cast at the Cannes International Film Festival. Shenoy has voiced numerous ensemble characters as the lead voice artist and loop grouper for Telltale Games, contributing to titles like The Walking Dead, Minecraft, Game of Thrones, and Batman. In September 2016, she made her co-starring debut in Telltale's The Walking Dead, portraying the character Kate. That same year, Shenoy spent four months as the voice director for the Netflix original animated series Bing.
