Nicolas Bravos is a renowned Greek actor and skilled pianist and musician. Born in Athens, he grew up in Xylokastro, a small seaside town, living with his parents, sisters, and brother until age 17. From an early age, he was passionate about the arts, playing piano, composing songs, and acting in school plays. After completing high school, he moved to Athens.
He excelled in the Panhellenic final High School exams, earning a high Distinction (19.804 out of 20), ranking first in the Korinthia region and among the top students nationwide.
Bravos was admitted to the prestigious Medical School of the University of Athens (UOA), placing 14th, and studied medicine from 2008 to 2013. In his final year, he left medicine to pursue his dream of acting.
He trained under Eleni Skoti, a renowned Greek acting coach who emphasizes 'working in the moment,' improvisation, and naturalistic performance. Additionally, he graduated with honors from the Contemporary Conservatory of Athens, where he studied piano with esteemed pianist and educator Yorgos Manessis.
Beginning his professional acting career at 20, Bravos regularly performed on stage and featured in numerous TV and web commercials, as well as the arthouse sci-fi thriller film "RED CITY" (2012).
His first TV guest role was as Lefteris in the popular comedy "MIN ARHIZEIS TI MOURMOURA" (2013, ALPHA Channel), acting alongside Vladimiros Kiriakidis and Dafni Labroyanni. He later appeared in guest roles in the series "DIA TAFTA" (2014, ALPHA) and "TRIHES" (2014, ANT1).
In March 2014, Bravos gained recognition for his breakthrough role as Petros (Dylan) in the prime-time series "MODERNA OIKOGENEIA" (MEGA Channel), the Greek adaptation of "MODERN FAMILY." His character, a young, eccentric singer-guitarist in love with the family's older daughter, became a fan favorite, leading to an expanded role in the second season.
He then portrayed Dimitris in the drama "DIKAIOSI" (2015, MEGA Channel), playing a significant role in the final 25 episodes.
Bravos is widely known in Greece for his role as Filippos Linaios in the TV series "DIDYMA FEGGARIA" (Twin Moons), which aired from 2015 to 2017 in Greece and Cyprus during prime time. The series, based on a true story, follows a young single father facing numerous challenges. It received critical acclaim and aired internationally in the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe via the Greek channel ANT1, increasing his popularity among the Greek diaspora.
He appeared as Manolakis in the comedy film "BACHELOR 2" (2017), a major commercial hit in Greece, later acquired by Netflix for Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Spain, France, Romania, and Bulgaria.
In the TV drama "EGLIMA KAI PATHOS" (2018), Bravos played lead role Manolis Konstantakakis, a man convicted of killing his wife, based on a real Greek crime. In 2018-2019, he starred in the romantic comedy series "OSO EHO ESENA" (SKAI Channel), where he trained in boxing for his role.
In 2020, he appeared in the final 12 episodes of the drama series "GYNAIKA HORIS ONOMA" (ANT1 Channel) and featured in the drama-comedy film "DON'T READ THIS ON A PLANE," directed by Stuart McBratney.
More recently, Bravos starred as Alexis in the sci-fi horror comedy "MINORE" (2023), praised by Richpieces.com as "wacky, fun, and gruesome in the sun... destined to become a cult classic."
His theatre credits include leading and supporting roles in numerous productions such as "ORESTES" (2010) by Yiannis Ritsos, "ONEIROPOLEIO" (2011), "TREIS KORES EN KAMINO" (2011) by Vassilis Myrianthopoulos, "FOTA, KLAKETA, XEIROKROTIMATA" (2011), "THE HUMAN VOICE" (2011) by Jean Cocteau, "THE HOMECOMING" (2012), "OS TIN AKRI TOU ONEIROU" (2013-14), "SORRY I'M GREEK" (2013-14), "KSIMERONI KYRIAKI" (2014), "AKROVATES TIS TYHIS" (2014-15), "BONES" (2014-15), "GIA SENA" (2017-18), "THE NIGHT ALIVE" (2018-19), "AND THEN THERE WERE NONE" (2019-20), and "FILIKI ETERIA" (2021).
In 2021-22, he returned to the stage as Don Baker, a young blind musician striving for independence, in Leonard Gershe's acclaimed "BUTTERFLIES ARE FREE" in Athens. During 2022-23, he starred as John in Mike Bartlett's "COCK" and as Zorro in Nikos Limnios' "ZORRO - THE MASK OF ZORRO." Currently, in the 2023-24 season, he plays Achilles in "ILIAD" by Karmen Rouggeri and Batman in "GOODBYE BATMAN" by Tasos Theofilou and Yiannis Angelakis.
