Stefan Ivanov Mavrodiyev-Mavro is a Bulgarian theater and film actor and director. Born in Varna, his father was a teacher and actor at the Varna Theater, while his mother was a singer at the Opera House. Stefan Mavrodiyev graduated from the National Academy of Theater and Film Art in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1967, studying under Metodi Andonov. He has appeared in over 50 film roles. Some of his most notable films include "24 Hours of Rain," "Measure for Measure," "Zone B-2," "Friday Night," "Cricket in the Ear," and "Birds and Hounds." He has performed at the Plovdiv Theater, Theatre 199, Satire Theater, the National Theatre, and primarily at the Youth Theatre. His theater credits include "The Mousetrap," "Two Gentlemen of Verona," "Children of the World," "Great Guys," "Black Comedy," "Golovans," "Cola Bryonon," "Sunshine Boys," "Love and Money," "Fanny - Financial Agony of an Individual," "Mr. Balkan," "Airport," "Wanted Star Clown," "Distorting Mirror," "Cinecittà," "Kitchen," and "Four." His play "Yesterday" is especially popular.
