Jade Leigh-Hunt was an award-winning Scottish actress, model, business owner and entrepreneur whose warmth, determination and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Born in Livingston and raised in West Lothian, Jade first came to national attention in 2012 when she was crowned Miss Galaxy Scotland, having previously won the Miss Galaxy West Lothian title. During the competition she collected numerous accolades, including awards for Best Fashion, Best Evening Wear, Best Swimwear and Best Interview. She subsequently represented Scotland at the international Miss Galaxy competition in Orlando, Florida, where she achieved a Top Ten placing among contestants from around the world.
Alongside her success in modelling, Jade also pursued a career in performance and screen acting. Her screen credits included roles in *Call to Arms: The Deadly Game* (2011), *Call to Arms: Oracle* (2015), and the Scottish science-fiction feature *THEM* (2028), which was her last role as "Angel". Through her acting work, Jade demonstrated a natural screen presence and a passion for storytelling that complemented her outgoing personality and creative spirit. She was also a co-producer on the production with her own Bonnie Media, as well as Associate Producer with Bad Pony Media Productions UK.
Away from the screen, Jade was known for her entrepreneurial drive - she ran her own film Production Company, teeth-whitening business, worked as a support worker - helping adults with physical and learning disabilities, and later became involved in the advertising and promotional sector through Mayhem Agency UK.
Her varied career reflected a person who embraced opportunities, supported others and continually sought new challenges.
Those closest to Jade remember her not for titles or achievements, but for her kindness, humour and remarkable ability to make people feel valued. Family and friends described her as having "the purest of souls," with an infectious laugh, adventurous spirit and a smile capable of lighting up any room. She was known for her courage, wit, generosity and the deep love she showed to those around her.
Jade passed away in March 2024 at the age of 35. Her memory serves as a reminder of the power of kindness, creativity and perseverance. Her story continues to inspire others to pursue their dreams, support their communities and approach life with the same warmth, courage and generosity that defined her own journey.
