Bob was born and raised in the Albany, Oregon area. He began acting at age 7 in school productions and continued for the next 30 years, performing in school plays and at two local community theaters. Over that time, he accumulated a resume featuring more than 75 stage plays as both actor and director, earning multiple acting awards. Growing up, he admired a variety of film genres and acting styles. His major influences included television comedians from the 1950s to the 1970s such as Jackie Gleason and Carol Burnett, as well as dramatic actors like Paul Newman, Henry Fonda, and Jack Lemmon. In 1999, he landed his first film set role as an extra in "The Postman" and shortly after in "Bandits." From that point forward, he focused on the film industry, pursuing his dream of becoming a professional actor. He started with small roles in independent short films, industrial projects, student films, and low-budget horror features including "No Request," "Caged Animals," "Inbred Redneck Vampires," and "Deadly Premonitions." A few years later, he joined the ensemble cast of the Portland, Oregon-based web series "The Free Box" and began taking on larger roles in feature films like "All American Bully," "C.O.G.," and "Drifter." In 2013, he portrayed newspaper editor John Cockerill in "10 Days In a Madhouse: The Nellie Bly Story." Since then, he has worked steadily on short films such as "Half Moon Bay" and "Discard," feature films like "Any Bullet Will Do," and recently co-starred as Steven Gallagher on NBC’s television series "Grimm." He continues to take acting classes, deliver strong performances on and off set, and support other local actors in improving their craft and advancing their careers.
