Susan B. Flanagan is an Emmy® Award-winning writer, executive producer, creative executive, award-winning producer, showrunner, best-selling author, and director of our Adaptation of Scripts and Books Division.
Susan has written and produced content for major studios, streaming platforms, cable, and broadcast networks. Her experience includes creating and writing numerous feature film scripts, scripted dramas, series, and unscripted shows. She serves as the lead Executive Producer of our Prime Vendor division, collaborating directly with business executives from major studios, streaming services, cable, and broadcast companies. Her main responsibility is participating in committees to provide objective assessments on which scripts have the strongest potential to achieve financial and creative success. Susan offers her recommendations before projects receive committee approval for funding or are greenlit for series development. She also consults with Development Executives and Directors to share writing insights and committee feedback to help fulfill their business objectives.
In addition, Susan is an internationally recognized best-selling author who adapts books into film and series scripts, and converts scripts into manuscripts and graphic novels for major Hollywood studios, agencies, screenwriters, and authors. She has written a popular series of books including How to Write a Hollywood Script, How to Adapt Screenplays to Novels, and How to Adapt Feature Film Scripts to Manuscripts.
