Richard Luke Rothschild is a seasoned film and television producer whose career spans major studios, prestige television, and award-winning independent cinema. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Production for LIONSGATE Television, overseeing a slate of high-profile series including the global phenomenon POWER's multiple spin-offs, as well as the acclaimed dramas SPARTACUS: HOUSE OF ASHUR for STARZ, and comedies such as HOME ECONOMICS for ABC and ACAPULCO for Apple+. His leadership at Lionsgate helped steer the studio through one of its most dynamic eras of streaming expansion and international growth. Rothschild began his career in commercial production before transitioning into feature films, rising quickly through production ranks. He produced indies such as THE BIG PICTURE directed by Christopher Guest and URBAN LEGENDS: Final Cut, then went on to build an impressive studio track record of diverse titles like ROMY & MICHELE'S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION (Disney), THE TRUMAN SHOW (Paramount), DOUBLE JEOPARDY (Paramount), THE SCORPION KING (Universal), and THE GAME PLAN (Disney) He also served as both UPM and Producer on Sony Pictures Classics’ release GET LOW, starring Robert Duvall, Bill Murray, and Sissy Spacek. Transitioning into prestige television, Rothschild produced acclaimed network, cable, and streaming projects, including COMA with executive producers Ridley Scott and David Zucker, and worked on the Emmy-nominated anthology mini-series FIVE. He produced Starz’s Miami-based drama MAGIC CITY and contributed to the first season of FX’s long-running hit series SNOWFALL. From character-driven drama to large-scale action franchises, from indie storytelling to studio blockbusters, Rothschild has built a career defined by creative range, collaborative leadership, and a strong instinct for discovering and shaping culturally resonant material.
