Born in the heart of Brittany in 1980, Jérôme Bernard, a drummer and violinist, discovered a passion for photography and music early on. He later moved to Paris to attend the International Institute of Image and Sound, where he earned a Master of Arts in film directing.
In 2011, he founded The Duck Factory (WWW.dkft.fr), a company producing films and commercials. Around it, The Duckers formed—a network of studios and freelancers with both technical and creative expertise. Jérôme collaborated with major agencies for clients such as Armani, BMW, Mont-Blanc, McDonald's, Kraft Foods, Nokia, Mikado, HSBC, Ibis, Renault, HEC, Nestlé, Universal, and more.
In 2012, he was appointed Digital Director by the Quad production group, Fighting Fish (WWW.fightingfish.fr). That same year, Jérôme released his short film "Country Parasite" (supported by Orange, CanalPlus, CNC), featuring the Groland team, which was showcased on popular French comedy programs on CanalPlus.
Following his successes in 2012, early 2013 saw Ondamax Films offer him representation abroad in the USA, South America, and Italy (WWW.ondamaxfilms.com). Concurrently, he released another short film, "A Peu De Chose Pres" (Hossenny Production), starring Patrick Mimoun and Dolores Chaplin.
His work gained significant recognition, with both short films becoming finalists in numerous international festivals. At the Cannes Film Festival, producers invited him to develop a feature film.
His creative world features offbeat stories, eccentric characters, and dark humor, blended with strong VFX integrated into live-action footage, transporting audiences into a dreamlike vision.
