Originally from Long Beach, California, Anthony Darrell has built a career defined by authenticity, versatility, and undeniable on-screen presence. He discovered his passion for performance at just six years old, writing and acting in original plays for his church. By high school, he was fully immersed in theatre, earning recognition as Class Clown for his natural charisma and timing; early signs of the performer he would become.
After graduating, Anthony sharpened his craft through stand-up comedy and formal training at Cerritos College, where he studied Theatre & Film. He later continued his development under Earnest Johnson of Jita Films and actor-producer David Bianchi, deepening his range and emotional depth as a performer.
Anthony's television work spans major network and streaming platforms, with appearances in Young Rock (NBC), The Rookie (ABC), Lincoln Lawyer (Netflix), and High Potential (ABC/Hulu). His early experience also includes roles in acclaimed series such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Snowfall, and Mayans M.C., reflecting his adaptability across genres and formats.
He made his leading film debut in Yuri, portraying a Russian weightlifter, a transformative role that highlights both his physical presence and commitment to character work. Anthony also stars as Detective Mark Cooper in the theatrical true-story drama Aftershock, based on the fatal shooting of Sean Bell.
Beyond television and film, Anthony has built a strong following in the independent space through projects on YouTube and Tubi, including Cuddle Season and The Lesbian Homie: Season 4. His commercial credits feature national campaigns for NBA League Pass alongside Donovan Mitchell and the SpongeBob/Burger King collaboration.
