Regina Lund was born during rehearsals of Brecht's "Three Penny Opera," directed by her father, Christian Lund. Her mother, Sonja Lund, a Swedish actress and professional ballet dancer, played the role of Polly in the same production and breastfed Regina in the theatre's small dressing rooms during performances. At one year old, Regina moved to Stockholm, and by age three, she was raised by her paternal grandparents in Gävle, a small city in northern Sweden. She learned American English at four and began attending acting schools at six. By 13, she was singing, dancing, and acting in local musicals and plays in Gävle. At 17, she received a scholarship to study in the US. Upon returning to Sweden, she was accepted into law school but quickly realized her true passion lay elsewhere. At 21, she was admitted to the State School of Performing Arts in Gothenburg. Her first role after graduation was Ophelia in Hamlet, directed by Jan Bergman, Ingmar Bergman's eldest son, earning her rave reviews and launching a series of successful performances across Sweden. She captivated audiences as Sugar in the musical "Some Like It Hot," winning the Best Female Musical Artist award (Guldmasken). In addition to her thriving acting career, she pursued singer-songwriter work, both critically and popularly acclaimed. Regina is currently working on her fourth solo album. Alongside her work in film, TV, shows, musicals, music projects, photography, and theatre, she recently published her first poetry book.
