Jennifer N. Linch is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, producer, director, and martial artist known for creating character-driven martial arts films with comedy, emotional storytelling, and authentic action performed without stunt doubles. Her work focuses on PG-rated martial arts comedies designed to give audiences a joyful escape from reality while reminding them to appreciate the present moment and the simple beauty of life.

Flowers of the Night, her second short film, expanded her recognition in the United States and internationally. Kung Fu Ghost was Jennifer’s first independent feature-length film, released in 2022. The film was produced during the pandemic, with the living room serving as one of the primary settings, and went on to receive international recognition. Jennifer has shared that her happiest childhood memories were movie nights with her parents and brothers watching martial arts comedies by Jackie Chan and Stephen Chow. Those memories inspired her to create martial arts comedies that could give other viewers, especially young girls, the same sense of joy and wonder
Her creative mission is to write, produce, and direct martial arts films that combine emotional storytelling, comedy, and authentic fight choreography. She collaborates with talented martial artists from around the world and designs action scenes grounded in real technique, timing, and physical performance.
Outside of filmmaking, Jennifer continues to train extensively in martial arts and combat disciplines. She holds a Taekwondo black belt under Grandmaster Nicolas King and has also trained in Muay Thai, Kajukenbo, Kosho Ryu, Filipino Martial Arts, Hapkido, firearms, knives, and machete work. In 2026, she began Russian gymnastics training in preparation for her next feature film.
Jennifer’s years of martial arts training directly inform the action design in her films. Because she performs her own fight scenes without a stunt double, her work carries a level of authenticity, discipline, and physical commitment that has become a defining part of her identity as a filmmaker.
