Erin Foy is a writer who kick-started her career after winning $5000 on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She is best known for her kids' short film, Turtle Soup, which landed on the Tropfest shortlist in 2016 before taking out the Best Film award at the highly acclaimed Short and Sweet Film Festival. She also garnered international attention for her 2019 feature film script, Chance of Snow, which was a semi-finalist in America's PAGE Screenwriting Awards.
Over the past many years, Erin has worked for multiple acclaimed production companies as a note-taker, researcher, script coordinator, script editor, story consultant, and most recently as a staff writer. These companies include Matchbox Pictures (15+ contracts), Fremantle, Hoodlum, Rebecca Gibney's R&R Productions, Playmaker (Curio), and many other smaller players. Throughout this time, Erin has worked on shows for Netflix, Amazon, Peacock, SBS, ABC, and the 7 and 9 Networks including Wanted, Irreverent, Back to the Rafters, Amazing Grace, The PM's Daughter and Moni.
Other strings to Erin's bow include: acceptance into Screen Australia and Screen NSW's Diversity Talent Camp; multiple residencies at AIF's Charlie's (Los Angeles); dual selection as a Developer for Screen Canberra's Film and TV POD programs; acceptance into The Second City Chicago's Conservatory Program (alumni Tina Fey, Steve Carell, etc); and invitation to perform at Amy Poehler's annual improv marathon in NYC.
