Suretone Pictures films in development include: Revenge Wedding, the romantic comedy in development in conjunction with Lionsgate; the highly in-demand property action/thriller, Five Against A Bullet, currently in development with Sony Pictures; and the upcoming Paramount distributed horror genre film, The Closet.
Schur is an Executive Producer on MICHAEL, the bio-pic based on the life of Michael Jackson, released by Lionsgate and Universal Pictures to global box office record breaking heights establishing the film as the all time highest grossing bio-pic film ever produced, surpassing Bohemian Rhapsody and Oppenheimer along the way.
Schur has achieved global success in the music industry. Schur founded Flip Records, home of iconic acts Limp Bizkit, and Staind. Flip drove 100M in Album sales worldwide.
Schur joined Geffen Records as its President and relaunched the label to new heights, additionally merging the famed MCA Records into the company. Geffen’s combined artist roster included some of the world’s legendary artists amongst them Snoop Dogg, Nirvana, Guns and Roses, Beck, Blink 182, Mary J. Blige, Hole, Enrique Inglesias, Counting Crows, Weezer, Nelly Furtado, Peter Gabriel, Rob Zombie, Sigur Ros, Sonic Youth, The Roots, others. During Schur’s tenure, the newly formatted Geffen achieved $2 billion in revenue becoming a consistent global market share leader for Universal Music Group.
Schur left Geffen to return to the indie space, launching Suretone Records, distributed by Warner Bros ADA. Suretone Records catalog spans releases by The Cure, Chris Cornell, Shwayze, New Found Glory, The Black Angels, Collective Soul, From First To Last, Angels & Airwaves, Kiki Kramer, Limp Bizkit, Sayyi, DED, ZZ Top’s Live-Greatest Hits From Around The World, and Santana’s Africa Speaks, which landed #3 on The New York Times Best Albums list.
Schur is active as a venture capitalist with various investments in public companies and funds. Schur is invested in the CPG space as owner of STACKED sauces and assorted foods, and active in his family real estate business Jordan Realty, which houses a portfolio of properties based in NYC.
Schur has been active in supporting various charitable organizations such as Baby2Baby, Art of Elysium Foundation, Limitless Foundation along with his previous 5 years long tenure as Co-Chairman with Woody Johnson in Lupus Research Alliance.
