I am a film director specializing in documentary filmmaking with a focus on social justice, migration, and cultural identity. Throughout my career, I have developed and produced stories that highlight intimate, human-centered narratives for audiences worldwide. My films have been showcased at international festivals, presented at academic venues, and supported by organizations including UNHCR and Amnesty International. I am dedicated to using cinema to foster dialogue, challenge viewpoints, and unite people through storytelling.
In 2010, I won Best Short Film for "La città di Asterix" at the Roma Fiction Fest. That same year, my documentary "Through Korean Cinema," produced by Blue Film and distributed by WIDE, was featured at major Asian festivals such as Busan, Fukuoka, and Tokyo. In 2014, my documentary "Southeast Asia Cinema - When the Rooster Crows" participated in the Busan and Singapore festivals and was acquired by the Sundance Channel. By December 2015, I completed the documentary "Doris and Hong," filmed between Italy and China. In 2017, my short documentary "Obaida," telling the story of a Syrian boy, competed on Arab TV MBC.
In 2019, my documentary "When You Can't Go Back" was released, competing at the 37th Bellaria Film Festival and other international festivals. In 2021, I launched the documentary series "Italian Chefs," which was presented at EXPO 2020 Dubai and later distributed in 2022 on the Cine+ Asia platform, Kitchen Mania in France, and in 2023 by Minerva Pictures through ITA Airways. I directed the short film "Be Happy," distributed by the Chinese Ministry of Culture, which competed in April 2022 for the "Sorriso Rai Cinema Channel." Most recently, in 2023, my documentary "Refugee Girls" debuted at the Visioni dal Mondo Film Festival in Milan.
