Every actor aims to work regularly, refine their skills, and land dream roles along the way. To achieve this, you must never limit yourself or lose heart. Musto Pelinkovicci exemplifies this mindset. Musto began his acting career at 42, after studying acting for four years at The College of Staten Island, focusing particularly on Improvisation. He was born in Montenegro, an Eastern European country bordered by Albania and Croatia, with stunning shorelines along the Adriatic Sea, just across from Italy. Musto speaks all Slavic languages and some Italian as well! Starting an acting career requires true dedication—or as Musto puts it, "My entire life is an act." As a child, he entertained his siblings by pretending to be a drunk, axe-wielding maniac.
Recently, RG Magazine’s Talent Coordinator, Fred Coscia, was scouting talent for his cable show, Who Do You Like TV?, and immediately recognized Musto as a rising star. Check Musto’s IMDb resume, and you’ll see he was cast early in films like Alec Baldwin’s Shortcut To Happiness and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby. Most recently, Musto appeared in the CBS hit TV series Limitless as Stavros Antonopolos, "the best janitor in the world." This role led to five more episodes as Stavros, eventually earning him a regular spot on the show. TV Tyrant writer Amy V, a devoted fan, says, "We’re waiting for a Stavros backstory, guys. (For the uninitiated, Stavros is the best janitor in the world.)"
Sometimes, one casting call is all it takes to elevate your career to new heights, without limits. Of course, you must be prepared and fully present, but Musto clearly has a natural talent. In simple terms, being seen more leads to being noticed more, which leads to more work. RG Magazine sat down with Musto for a candid interview.
RGM: Musto, you say your life has been an act. What do you mean by that?
MUSTO: My entire life has been an act by never taking life too seriously and always living playfully and joyfully.
RGM: You started acting at 42. What was your profession before that?
MUSTO: I was a real estate investor before becoming an actor.
RGM: Which film has moved you the most, and which actors inspire you the most?
MUSTO: Escape from Alcatraz is the movie that moved me, and Kirk Douglas and Steve McQueen are two actors who inspired me to become an actor.
RGM: What can we expect from you in the future?
MUSTO: Now that I’m a working actor, I hope to find a reputable talent agent who can secure more film and television roles for me, allowing me to fully showcase my potential and range in portraying stories as they are meant to be told.
