Jijo Reed is an Emmy Award-winning producer and recipient of 16 Telly Awards.
His portfolio includes over 150 feature films and series, with his work reaching global audiences through theatrical releases and major streaming platforms such as Netflix, Apple TV+, Hulu, and Tubi. His films have also been featured at prestigious film festivals like Cannes, Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, and the Toronto International Film Festival.
Reed has been acknowledged by MSN, LA Weekly, and the New York Post as a pioneer in independent film post-production. His company, Sugar Studios, earned the title of "Top Post Production Studio of 2025" from Media & Entertainment Business Review.
Early in his career, Reed was Post Supervisor for audio and visual marketing campaigns on major studio films including Casino, True Lies, Star Trek, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon 4, Unforgiven, and Basic Instinct. This experience with blockbuster campaigns helped him develop expertise in post-production, creative finishing, studio marketing, and large-scale content delivery.
He also served as Visual Effects Supervisor for The Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N., an immersive Marvel attraction that became a prominent destination in Times Square and Las Vegas.
A pivotal moment in his career was directing and producing a documentary on the RMS Titanic. Reed descended 2.5 miles beneath the Atlantic Ocean in the Russian MIR-1 submersible to the shipwreck site, becoming one of the few people to visit the Titanic on the ocean floor—a depth reached by more people than have traveled to outer space. His groundbreaking Titanic footage has gained international acclaim. Reed describes this as "the most life-changing project of my career."
He was Executive Producer of the 2013 Presidential Inauguration Concert in Washington, D.C., featuring will.i.am and John Legend, and has produced screen media for major live events including Eminem’s MTV Awards performance and Guns N’ Roses concerts.
In 2004, Reed developed the successful VH1 series Celebrity Rehab, an award-winning show that brought addiction and recovery into mainstream conversation.
A third-generation native of Los Angeles, Reed was raised in Studio City, California. He is the grandson of Alan Reed, the original voice of Fred Flintstone, and the nephew of acclaimed Hollywood choreographer Hermes Pan, renowned for his work with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
