Karl Steudel has been involved in acting since high school, where he earned the Drama Bowl award. In 1999, his passion for acting deepened significantly. Since then, he has appeared in numerous films, television shows, commercials, and industrial videos. His leading film role in "Willows Way" is available for rent on Netflix, and he portrayed Charles Darwin on PBS NOVA. In April 2014, he appeared on the Travel Channel's "Hotel Secrets and Legends" as Becker, a radical co-conspirator aiming to break free from the newly founded United States. Karl continues to work both in Los Angeles and his hometown in New England. Among his favorite roles are those as a hand model.
Karl has also co-starred on "All My Children" and recently performed in his first 99-seat Equity production, "Langston and Nicholas," at the Stella Adler Theater, which the LA Times praised as "The Best Play in LA."
In comedy, Karl opened live shows for Paula Poundstone and co-founded "Rap-o-Gram," an improv singing telegram service serving clients like The Garber Travel Agency and various private parties. His favorite gigs were birthday parties for adults and children alike, where his rapping performances brought joy to all ages. Disney fans might remember Karl's memorable 'crash' debut in the cold open of "Austin and Ally" Episode 1, where he humorously stumbled over a drum set, sending cymbals flying. Karl performed his first stand-up comedy set at the Mbar in March 2014, receiving a warm response and enjoying the experience. Recently, he has developed a passion for the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), where he continues to study and perform.

In addition to acting, Karl is a music composer, pianist, saxophonist, and singer. His original music has been licensed for multiple national television shows, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, Bravo, HGTV, Food Network, History Channel, VH1, Hogan Knows Best, and many others. If you watch TV, you've likely heard Karl's music. He has also spoken at the Nashville Songwriters Association about the business of licensing music for film and television. His next project is preparing for the pre-production of his first music video. Karl has also enjoyed a successful singing career and recently performed as a paid singer in a new music production touring in Los Angeles.
