She has built and nurtured an award-winning Talent House that excels at recruiting outstanding individuals both in front of and behind the camera. Katy makes sure every new 'Team Mystic' member is creatively welcomed and valued for their distinct abilities, ensuring consistently exceptional casts. Having developed her team from scratch, they have produced hundreds of hours of content annually for major networks and digital platforms. This success is driven by Katy's unwavering optimism, infectious energy, and commitment to creating positive impact. Her credits include Netflix’s Emmy-nominated Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, the hit Floor is Lava, TBS’s 2020 revival of Wipeout, ABC’s Don’t with Ryan Reynolds, Holey Moley, Disney+’s The Big Fib, HBO Max’s Full Bloom, and HGTV’s triumphant reboot of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
As an Executive Producer, Katy leverages her extensive network to craft the best team for each project’s success. She partners with acclaimed showrunner Stephanie Bloch Chambers under their Wallin Chambers Entertainment banner, dedicated to developing original nonfiction content alongside Lionsgate. Together, they have created a remarkable lineup of talent-driven projects with deals at HBO Max, Amazon, E!, Bravo, OWN, Lifetime, TBS, YouTube, and MailChimp.
Wallin Chambers Entertainment is known for its authentic, compelling, and innovative storytelling featuring prominent multicultural talent and emerging artists. Their partnership has delivered two premium unscripted series for leading streaming platforms. “De Viaje Con Los Derbez” (“Derbez Family Vacation”), a docu-comedy starring global star Eugenio Derbez and his family, was renewed for a second season by Pantaya in the U.S. and Amazon Prime Video internationally. It earned nominations for the Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Reality Show and the Imagen Award. Wallin Chambers also collaborated with Lionsgate on “House of Ho,” a docu-dramedy inspired by Crazy Rich Asians, depicting the lavish lives of a Vietnamese-American family, which premiered on HBO Max on December 10, 2020.
Beyond television, Katy is a prolific film producer who has raised private equity to finance and package critically acclaimed films. Driven by a passion to honor classic literature through cinema, she produced the timeless Where the Red Fern Grows, starring musician Dave Matthews and distributed by Walt Disney. She also partnered with writer/director Jeff Probst to produce Finder’s Fee, featuring iconic actors James Earl Jones, the late Robert Forster, Erik Palladino, Matthew Lillard, and Ryan Reynolds. Katy and Probst collaborated again on the coming-of-age drama KISS ME, starring Sarah Bolger, Emily Osment, John Corbett, Jenna Fischer, Rita Wilson, and Missi Pyle.
Katy’s outstanding contributions to film and television have been showcased on Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Extra, Entertainment Weekly, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, People Magazine, LA Times, and The New York Times. She served as Vice President of the Casting Society of America and co-founded the Women’s Image Network, a nonprofit supporting projects that portray women positively by providing development funding.
