Jon Mack was born in Rochester, Michigan, and raised on a 180-acre farm owned by her grandparents. As the only child of a drama teacher and theater director, she made her stage debut at the age of five. She is of Polish, Lithuanian, and Russian heritage. After high school, Mack attended the prestigious NYU Tisch School of the Arts, studying theater through both the Lee Strasberg Institute and Experimental Theater programs. Following college, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue postgraduate studies at UCLA, where she began working in feature films.
Mack first gained national recognition for her portrayal of Ava Gardner in the Emmy Award-winning biopic Introducing Dorothy Dandridge (1999), starring Halle Berry. She subsequently appeared in numerous feature films and television roles, including playing Jane, a junkie, in Saw VI (2009), and a soccer mom pursuing Gerard Butler's character in Playing for Keeps (2012). In 2015, she portrayed Reggie, a gunslinger, in Blunt Force Trauma alongside Mickey Rourke, Ryan Kwanten, and Freida Pinto. Later, she played a streetwise prostitute in Kill Chain (2019) with Nicolas Cage. Her recent work includes Taken from Rio Bravo (2024) and Based on the Original Night of the Living Dead (2026).
In addition to acting, Mack is a talented musician, singer, songwriter, and producer. Her project Auradrone has independently released three albums and performed at festivals worldwide. Passionate about animal welfare and endangered wildlife conservation, Mack founded Defending the Endangered in 2015 to raise awareness and combat poaching and trophy hunting. In 2024, she directed Love Song for a Mermaid (2025), created in collaboration with Defending the Endangered. The short film received significant acclaim on the festival circuit, earning awards for Best Actress, Best Director, Best Writer, and Best Producer.
