Ron Chepesiuk is an award-winning author, screenwriter, documentary producer, and investigative journalist whose career has spanned more than three decades and taken him to over 35 countries. A two-time Fulbright Scholar (Indonesia and Bangladesh) and former university professor, he has written more than twenty-five books and more than 4,000 articles for outlets including USA Today, Black Enterprise, The Rotarian, Toronto Star, Los Angeles Times Syndicate, Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, and New York Daily News.
Chepesiuk's latest project is Paraíso Blanco (2023-2024), the hit Colombian TV series inspired by his book Crazy Charlie, in which he is credited as a writer for nineteen episodes. As a filmmaker, he is also known for documentaries such as Superfly (2007), Ike Atkinson: In His Own Words (2010), and The Frank Matthews Story (2012). He was a consultant to the History Channel's Gangland series (2007-2010), and his screenplays and documentaries have received awards from the Las Vegas International Film Festival, Harlem International Film Festival, Charleston International Film Festival, and Philafilm: the Philadelphia International Film Festival and Market.
As a journalist, Chepesiuk has interviewed figures such as Yasser Arafat, Jimmy Carter, Abbie Hoffman, Noam Chomsky, Evander Holyfield, and Andie MacDowell. His expertise in crime and society has made him a frequent guest on television and radio worldwide, with appearances on Starz, Investigation Discovery, Biography Channel, BET, NBC Dateline, and more.
Based in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Chepesiuk continues to divide his time between writing, filmmaking, and hosting his syndicated Crime Beat radio show, earning recognition as a respected voice in the world of true crime storytelling.
