Jacqueline Mazarella is a writer, actor, and producer, best recognized for her role as Ms. Morello on the Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated series "Everybody Hates Chris." TV Guide praised her as "one of the show's funniest, most wince-inducing recurring characters."
She created, produces, and stars in the web series "The Oversharer," which follows a sweet yet surprisingly raunchy woman seeking connections with everyone she meets. Directed by Ali LeRoi, "The Oversharer" was an Official Selection at the 2018 Series Fest, Los Angeles International Film Festival, LA Comedy Festival, and LA Shorts Festival.
In addition to her acting career, Jackie is a feature writer, with her work prominently showcasing the USC Suzanne Dworek-Peck School of Social Work. Her stories explore themes such as human rights, systemic racism and inequality, and the criminal justice system, reflecting the efforts of faculty, students, and alumni.
Her current project, "Ground Zero," is a half-hour comedy about PTSD inspired by her experiences in New York City on September 11, 2001. She is also developing a dark comedy, in collaboration with a partner, about two amateur detectives who project their personal frustrations onto a dead body to solve a crime, drawing from her lifelong interest in FBI profiling and true crime.
Jackie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University. Originally from New Jersey, she now resides in Los Angeles.
