Shea Bilé (Shea Bile) is an author, lecturer, musician, and podcast host. A researcher and devotee of esoteric practice for nearly twenty-five years, his committed adherence to subversive forms of spiritual expression forms the foundation of his work.
He has delivered lectures and workshops internationally with a focus on Left Hand Path occultism, religious heterodoxy, and the philosophy of non-conventional spiritual praxis. He has served as both a visiting professor and guest lecturer at various universities. His eighteen-week lecture series, "The Fire and the Wine: On the Origins, Philosophy, and Rites of Satanism, Luciferianism, and the Left Hand Path" - released in 2025 through Miskatonic Books - represents the most comprehensive instruction he has presented to date.
His writings have appeared in numerous publications. His most recent major work, "Friedrich Nietzsche and the Left Hand Path," was published by Atramentous Press in 2023, followed by a Spanish language edition through Manus Sinistra and an expanded second edition from Miskatonic/Infernal House in 2025. His forthcoming volume, "Hymns of the Red Dragon," a daemonic hymnal, will be published by Theion Publishing.
He is the host of the Deferred Gnosis Podcast, a series devoted to fringe philosophical, spiritual, and esoteric subjects. As a ritual performance artist, he integrates somatic, ceremonial, and transgressive modes of expression. His most recent musical work, "Tzimtzum," combines spoken-word lyricism with neoclassical composition.
Bilé has been featured on numerous podcasts and has been the subject of multiple articles and documentary pieces. Of particular note is Dr. William Chavez’s academic study, "Post-Christianity and Esotericism: A Study of a Satanic Exorcist," published by Routledge, which offers an in-depth examination of Bilé’s religious identity and praxis. Profile features on his work have appeared in VICE, the documentary series 60 Second Docs, and will appear in the forthcoming AppleTV documentary The Secret Teachings of All Ages.
He is the founder of two esoteric student organizations: the Occult Student Alliance at San Francisco State University, and The Black Sun Sect at KU Leuven in Leuven, Belgium - both created to provide supportive communities for those called to paths outside conventional spirituality.
Bilé holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from San Francisco State University and a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven).
