Trish Doolan is a multifaceted and accomplished storyteller, renowned as a screenwriter, playwright, director, and actor. She wrote, directed, produced, and starred in the film April's Shower, released last year by Regent Films, which quickly garnered four best picture awards. The New York Times praised April's Shower as "highly enjoyable" and "refreshingly volatile," while The San Francisco Chronicle described it as "expansive, talky and zany," lauding Trish's storytelling as "impressive."
Raised in Queens, New York, as one of six children, Trish drew much inspiration from her strong Italian family for her first novel, Me & Five Guys. This novel, reminiscent of Running with Scissors, is loosely based on her coming-of-age experiences. Her second novel, The Singing Gardener, tells a timeless story of forbidden love and the magic that happens when we follow our hearts. Both novels are slated for screen adaptations.
Beginning her acting and modeling career at age three, Trish moved to Los Angeles by 19, embarking on a career in Hollywood that included commercials, television, and film.
Trish recently completed post-production on a pilot she wrote and directed, The Bug in My Ear, starring Tony Sirico as The Bug. She also produced the pilot Singled Out, in which she stars as Bri. Most recently, Trish and her writing partner Robert Pullman wrote the true story of two-time Oscar winner Al Kasha and his Tony Award-winning brother Larry Kasha. Their play, Two Boys From Brooklyn, is currently in pre-production and destined for Broadway.
Her screenplay Dancing Fool is scheduled to enter pre-production this fall. Additionally, Trish signed on to produce the feature film Kings of Life, set in Poland.
