Chicago native Jill Talley has portrayed hundreds of characters across animation and live-action. She has voiced Karen, Plankton's witty computer wife, on SpongeBob SquarePants since its debut in 1999. Her husband, Tom Kenny, voices SpongeBob.
Jill began her acting career at Chicago's renowned Second City Main Stage, performing alongside Chris Farley, Tim Meadows, Steve Carell, Amy Sedaris, and others. She was a regular on HBO's acclaimed sketch show Mr. Show with Bob and David and previously appeared on FOX's The Edge with Jennifer Aniston. Jill has anchored HBO's Not Necessarily the Elections and guest-starred on The Sarah Silverman Program, The Bernie Mac Show, Drew Carey, Seinfeld, Frasier, Ellen, 3rd Rock From the Sun, and more.
In film, Jill played Tammy in New Line Cinema's Run Ronnie Run, Candy in Paramount's The Ladies Man, and held roles in Little Miss Sunshine, Sky High, Sour Grapes, Jack Frost, Dumb and Dumberer, and the award-winning Comic Book the Movie. She co-starred with Tom Kenny in music videos for Smashing Pumpkins' Tonight Tonight (MTV Best Video of 1995) and Travis' Sing.
As a voice actress, Jill is best known for voicing Karen the Computer on SpongeBob SquarePants. She also voiced Ramona on American Dad, Gretchen, Nina, and Miss Mucus on Camp Lazlo, Gisell on Pam Anderson's Stripperella, Mrs. Sidvarsky on Clifford Puppy Years, Sarah on The Boondocks, and the Mother in The Animatrix.
