Raised in Houston's 5th Ward, SAG-AFTRA actor and award-winning filmmaker Trayvon (Tray) never initially considered acting, despite his naturally magnetic personality. His charisma makes him highly likable and often the center of attention. Defying the odds, Tray's hard work led to his high school graduation, exceeding expectations. He then enrolled at Jarvis Christian College, where his popularity grew rapidly. Known as a sports powerhouse and pursuing a Business Administration degree, Trayvon shifted his focus to acting in his sophomore year and has remained dedicated ever since. Following strong community support, he relocated to Atlanta, GA for a year before moving to Los Angeles to advance his career.
Tray launched his acting journey with a unique role in Survivor's Remorse, followed by a transformative part in Tyler Perry's If Loving You Is Wrong, both widely viewed nationwide. He has since secured numerous notable roles in Hollywood projects including Time Toys, Hunting: The Legend Part 2, and No Regrets. Trayvon particularly values his role in No Regrets, where he performed alongside acclaimed actors such as Sharon Leal, Brian White, Loretta Devine, Elise Neal, and Monica Calhoun. Beyond acting, Trayvon is a respected producer, director, writer, content creator, and CEO of The Pioneers Collective, LLC. He has appeared in nearly a dozen commercials, most recently starring as the male lead in a new Martell commercial. His production company secured a four-production deal in San Antonio, Texas, starting in October 2019. With successful projects like Team Living and Blind Currency, Tray is passionate about creating opportunities for Black creators in entertainment. Team Living’s premiere sold out at the Regal Edwards Houston Marq*E IMAX Theatre. Trayvon’s reputation as a leading creator and producer is rapidly growing. In 2019, he produced YouTube’s first reality competition featuring top celebrity couples in "Trapped With The Prince Family," an 8-episode series that garnered 17 million views within five days and ranked number one worldwide. His momentum continued with the 2022 release of "Bloody Nickel," a series he wrote, directed, and produced, depicting life and survival in his childhood neighborhood. It debuted at number one on streaming service Tubi, earning a spot on the main page and becoming one of the most popular titles.
Trayvon is also a close collaborator with Tamra Simmons, a highly respected Hollywood producer. Together, they are committed to developing multiple scripted and unscripted projects in the coming years. In addition to his production work, Trayvon is recognized for his event hosting skills, notably serving as Master of Ceremonies for the UNCF fundraising event at Jarvis Christian College.
