CeCe Cline’s career is a remarkable journey. From starring in over six Broadway productions to her wide-ranging work in film and television, CeCe has consistently stood out. Her unique upbringing has shaped her exceptional talent in the entertainment world.
A naturally gifted ballerina and singer from the moment she learned to walk and talk, CeCe initially focused on dance. Trained in tap, jazz, hip hop, breakdancing, ballroom, and especially ballet, her instructors quickly recognized her as a prodigy. Within a week of wearing pointe shoes for the first time, CeCe had mastered pointe ballet and could flawlessly perform up to 10 pirouettes.
CeCe’s talents extend beyond dance. She also studied classical piano and voice, attending lessons immediately after dance classes. Although her singing took a backseat as her dance career soared, she became one of the youngest solo performers at Carnegie Hall. To this day, Carnegie Hall invites CeCe back due to her captivating stage presence, stunning voice, and ability to draw sold-out crowds.
Despite a childhood packed with performances, rehearsals, and contract negotiations, CeCe maintained a relatively normal life. She enjoyed playing little league baseball on all-boys teams, managed by her father, a former professional player, with her mother as team mom. She was a school cheerleader, active in student government, and engaged internationally with BBYO. Academically, she excelled in both public school and with a private tutor, never falling below a 4.0 GPA. While she learned to balance a checkbook at seven, CeCe admitted to disliking math and science in favor of English and history.
Adding to her achievements, CeCe began writing screenplays secretly at nine. Driven to share her stories, she had completed two scripts by age 11, always planning to star in them herself.
In 2004, CeCe and friends founded the Cassiopeia Theatre Company, Inc., in Los Angeles. Eager to return to the stage and inspired by her talented peers, their productions have consistently sold out and earned rave reviews, building a strong Southern California fan base. As President, CeCe is leading Cassiopeia’s expansion into film and television, currently filming the pilot for "Boarders," based on the true stories of CeCe, her friend television writer/producer Jeny Quine, and Marlene Peroutka. The stage adaptation of "Boarders" received such enthusiastic acclaim from network executives and industry leaders that the pilot was greenlit.
Besides creating "Boarders," CeCe recently sold two screenplays for a combined seven-figure sum and will produce both films. In her rare free moments, she’s recording a new album featuring original songs co-written with musician friends, accompanying herself on piano.
After surviving a near-fatal car accident a few years ago, CeCe made a remarkably swift and determined recovery. In interviews with magazines, TV, and newspapers, she attributes her resilience to the support of family and friends and her unwavering spirit. Though her recent achievements have sometimes been overshadowed by high-profile relationships with a top Calvin Klein model, a South African royal, and notable actors and musicians, CeCe ultimately rekindled her romance with her high school sweetheart, now a medical doctor, to whom she is engaged for late 2008.
A dedicated philanthropist, CeCe donates her time and resources to causes dear to her heart, including animal rights, supporting abused children (some of whom she has portrayed in her film and television work), drug prevention in honor of her late friend actor Christopher Pettiet, and the Dystonia Foundation, a condition affecting her mother.
