జీవిత చరిత్ర
Andrew Halliwell is a Canadian-British composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose work lives in the space where rock, electronic and orchestral music collide. Whether writing an intimate piano theme, building immersive layers of atmospheric synthesis, weaving guitar lines through hybrid grooves, or composing for strings and brass, he creates music that is emotionally true to a story, with a voice that's unmistakably his own.
Equally at home behind a mixing console as on a scoring stage, Andrew approaches every project as a creative collaborator rather than simply a composer for hire. His background in recording, production and performance allows him to move comfortably between film scoring, contemporary songwriting and richly textured production, helping directors and artists discover a musical voice that serves their story. More than a decade of producing and recording artists at Strangeways Studios have shaped his approach to film scoring, ensuring that even the most cinematic moments remain rooted in expressive performances.
Outside of film, Andrew releases music as A Life in Binary, where his blend of guitars, synthesizers and chamber instrumentation has become a defining part of his artistic voice. He also produced and co-wrote two full-length albums with the band Music Hall, exploring the intersection of contemporary folk storytelling and art-rock songwriting through long-form recorded works.
Andrew's music has featured across film, television and streaming platforms including CBC, Bravo!, ESPN, Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV+, and he has collaborated with artists including Wolf Parade and Carly Rae Jepsen. Whether composing for feature film, documentary, interactive media or producing an artist's record, he brings the same curiosity, collaboration and attention to detail to every project.
For Andrew, the best music doesn't simply support a story, it becomes part of how people remember it.
