Global multi-hyphenate superstar Anderson .Paak shows no signs of slowing down. Raised in Oxnard, California, he began his musical journey playing drums in his church band. Pursuing his passion, he released his debut album, Venice, in 2014, followed by Malibu in 2016, which earned him his first Grammy nomination. By 2021, he had won four Grammys, notably for his single "Lockdown," released on Juneteenth after participating in a Los Angeles protest against police brutality. That same year, he launched the collaborative R&B super-duo Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars. Their hit single "Leave The Door Open" amassed over one billion streams, earning them four additional Grammys and a sold-out Vegas residency.
Now a nine-time Grammy winner, producer, songwriter, artist, and director, Anderson .Paak continues to broaden his impact. In 2022, he introduced his alter ego DJ Pee .Wee, showcasing vinyl DJ sets at prestigious events such as the Met Gala, F1 Las Vegas, and Coachella. He also founded his label ApeShit in partnership with Universal Music Group, while directing multiple music videos, earning a 2022 BET Award for Best Director and credits on the acclaimed video for Leon Bridges’ "Motorbike."
.Paak made his feature film directorial debut with K-POPS, which premiered to a standing ovation at TIFF in September 2024 and is scheduled for wide release in 2026. His latest album, Why Lawd? from his group project NxWorries with producer Knxwledge, won Best Progressive R&B Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards. He also continues his philanthropic work through the Brandon Anderson Foundation and his annual .Paak House event, supporting underserved youth in the arts and music.
