జీవిత చరిత్ర
Marilyn Manson, born Brian Hugh Warner on January 5, 1969, in Canton, Ohio, is the son of Barbara Jo (Wyer) and Hugh Angus Warner. He has German and English roots. During his childhood, a neighbor molested him multiple times until he finally confided in his mother. As an only child, he often engaged in mischievous activities, such as exploring his grandfather Jack Warner's sex toys, shooting his BB gun with his cousin Chad, and creating and selling homemade sex magazines to classmates. Raised Episcopalian, he attended the private Heritage Christian School, where he developed a strong disdain for Christianity. In tenth grade, he persuaded his parents to let him transfer to a public school.
After high school, his family relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, due to his father’s new job. He studied journalism and theater at Broward Community College. Feeling lonely in the new environment, he began writing poems and short stories. After losing his job at a record store, he became an entertainment journalist for a local magazine, interviewing notable musicians, including Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. Alongside his writing and job, he frequented rock clubs and eventually decided to form his own band.
Influenced by Ozzy Osbourne and KISS, he gathered musicians who shared his vision and formed "Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids." His stage name combined the names of actress Marilyn Monroe and criminal Charles Manson. The band’s name was later shortened to Marilyn Manson, with most original members eventually replaced. Manson reconnected with Trent Reznor, and his band toured with Nine Inch Nails. Reznor produced Marilyn Manson’s first three albums—*Portrait of an American Family*, *Antichrist Superstar*, and *Mechanical Animals*—as well as the EP *Smells Like Children*. *Mechanical Animals* remains Manson’s most successful album. The band's anti-Christian themes sparked controversy, and Anton Szandor LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan, named Manson a Reverend. Amid his rising fame, Manson mingled with celebrities and began a relationship with actress Rose McGowan; they became engaged but ended their relationship in 2001.
Manson later fell for burlesque performer Dita Von Teese, and they became engaged. They married in a non-denominational ceremony held in an Irish castle. During this period, Manson released two more albums, *Holy Wood* and *The Golden Age of Grotesque*, along with a greatest hits compilation, *Lest We Forget: The Best Of...*. He also ventured into acting, appearing in films such as *Jawbreaker* (1999), *Party Monster* (2003), and *The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things* (2004). He continues to produce music and act.
