Leslie Simone Danon grew up in Orange County and Los Angeles, California. Her father, Joseph, was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt, while her mother, Sandra, hails from London, England. Leslie has appeared in films such as Hail Caesar (1994) alongside Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, and Anthony Michael Hall; When In Rome (2002) with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen; Whatever It Takes (1998) with Andrew Dice Clay; Sometimes They Come Back... Again (1996) with Hilary Swank; Who's The Caboose? (1997) with Sarah Silverman; Girlfriends (2000) with Tracee Ellis Ross; The Steve Harvey Show (1999); Burning Down The House (2001) with John Savage and Joanne Baron; as well as television series including Doogie Howser M.D. with Neil Patrick Harris; Boy Meets World (1997-1999); Star Trek: Star Fleet Academy (1997); and USA High (1998). She has performed stand-up comedy at the Hollywood Improv and other comedy venues. Leslie has also appeared in commercials for Toyota, McDonald's, Century 21 (Super Bowl), Walgreens, Tire Kingdom, Scottrade, Aquafresh, and Budweiser (Super Bowl). Between 2022 and 2023, her writing has been recognized in various competitions and fellowships, including the Scriptation Showcase Script Competition, InRoads Screenwriting Fellowship, Richmond International Film Festival, Table Read My Screenplay for Austin Film Festival, ISA Fast Track Fellowship, Los Angeles International Screenplay Diversity Initiative, Santa Barbara International Screenplay Diversity Initiative, Creative Screenwriting Unique Voices, Big Apple Film Festival, Emerging Screenwriting Genre, and Emerging Screenwriting Comedy.
