Lauren was born in Adelaide, South Australia, before moving with her family to Tasmania at a young age.
From early on, creativity was a driving force for Lauren, who took part in school plays, attended drama classes, and further developed her skills in photography.
After relocating to Vancouver's film scene in June 2010, Lauren quickly advanced her acting career by securing roles in several independent films and enrolling in esteemed acting classes.
Through dedication and hard work, Lauren earned her big-screen debut with a small but significant credited role in the Hollywood blockbuster This Means War (2012), acting alongside A-list stars Tom Hardy, Chris Pine, Chelsea Handler, and Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon.
Her momentum continued as Lauren landed a lead role in the independent horror/thriller From Beneath (2012). Filmed over two weeks in May 2011 by Vancouver filmmaker David Doucette, the movie was acquired by Acort International/Midnight Releasing in March 2012 and slated for release in October 2012.
While primarily focused on acting, Lauren has broadened her talents into filmmaking, including directing, producing, and scriptwriting. She made her producing debut with the romantic comedy short Speak Now (2011), which was filmed in a single day in August 2011 and completed on DVD just ten days later. Lauren also wrote the screenplay entirely herself, demonstrating her creative versatility. The short gained traction and was submitted to various festivals, including receiving initial acceptance at Sundance.
Her second short film, Daisies, sees Lauren as writer, producer, and director, with a small cameo appearance. Filming is scheduled for August 2012.
Lauren continued to secure roles, including a lead in the sultry, dark fantasy web-series 13 Witches (2012) by Sabine Mondestin, where she performed her own stunts and contributed behind the scenes in production. Soon after, she earned a supporting role in the pilot episode of the upcoming web-series Confessions of a Part-Time Assassin by Frank D. Paul, again performing her own stunts. Through these varied roles, Lauren has demonstrated the talent, depth, and commitment essential for making a mark in the film industry.
