Constance Marie, best recognized for her long-running role on ABC's comedy "George Lopez," stars in the upcoming Latinx romantic comedy series "With Love." Created and written by Gloria Calderon Kellett ("One Day at a Time"), the series consists of five hour-long episodes, each set during a different holiday, chronicling the multi-generational Diaz family’s experiences over a year as they navigate life's peaks and valleys during some of the year's most significant days. Constance portrays Beatriz Diaz, wife to Jorge Sr. (Benito Martinez) and mother of two, who faces a midlife and identity crisis as her children grow older and her marriage to Jorge Sr. becomes routine. All five episodes of "With Love" premiered on Amazon Prime Video on December 17, 2021.
Recently, Constance appeared in Amazon’s rotoscope dramedy "Undone" alongside Rosa Salazar, and she had a recurring role in the Netflix comedy "Alexa & Katie." She also starred in NBC’s miniseries "Law & Order True Crime: Menendez Murders" and has guest-starred and recurred on various shows including CBS’s "Angel from Hell," TNT’s "Animal Kingdom," and voiced a character on Disney’s animated series "Elena of Avalor," which features the first Latina princess.
Constance starred for five acclaimed seasons on Freeform’s hit series "Switched at Birth," earning an Imagen Award, an ALMA Award, and a Gracie Allen Award for Best Supporting Television Actress for her role as Regina Vasquez.
For her beloved portrayal of Angie Lopez on "George Lopez," Constance received the Imagen Award for Best Actress in a TV Series and multiple ALMA Award nominations for Best Actress in a Comedy Series.

Constance’s career began as a teenager in the Los Angeles underground break-dancing scene. Selected from 500 hopefuls, she toured as a dancer with David Bowie. Upon returning to Los Angeles, she was cast as a dancer in the film "Salsa." The film’s choreographer, Kenny Ortega, introduced her to producer Steve Tisch, who cast her in her first acting role as Penny on the CBS series "Dirty Dancing."
Soon after, she appeared in feature films like "My Family," directed by Gregory Nava. She received acclaim for her portrayal of Marcella, mother of Tejano music legend Selena Quintanilla, in the blockbuster film "Selena." Since she was only a year older than her onscreen daughter Jennifer Lopez, extensive makeup was used to age her for the role.
Constance also starred in the acclaimed film "Tortilla Soup" as the daughter of Raquel Welch. The film was nominated for an ALMA Award for Outstanding Motion Picture.
Television producer Gary David Goldberg cast Constance as Michael J. Fox’s antagonist love interest on the hit series "Spin City." She played Gabriella Diaz on "Union Square," earning an ALMA Award nomination for Outstanding Female in a Comedy Series. Additionally, she portrayed Detective Toni Brigatti for two seasons on "Early Edition," opposite Kyle Chandler.
In her personal life, Constance is mother to a daughter, Luna-Marie. Open about her struggles with pregnancy and eventual use of IVF, she aims to support women facing similar challenges. Passionate about pregnancy and wellness, she embraces a green lifestyle including composting, recycling, and vegetarianism with a strong leaning toward veganism. She follows organic practices, using cloth diapers for her baby, ensuring zero Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in her nursery, and having organic mattresses in her home.
Constance advocates for PETA, Planned Parenthood, and Equal Pay for Women. She serves as spokesperson for the East Los Angeles Women's Center, which supports women affected by rape, domestic violence, and human trafficking.
Her active lifestyle includes regular workouts such as walking, yoga, gym sessions with a personal trainer, and nature hikes.
