Winner of the 2019 Salty Earth Film Festival Best Actor Award for a Short Film, Simon is a Milwaukee-based actor experienced in stage, screen, and voice work. He is a member of Actor's Equity Association and is SAG-eligible, with a professional career spanning since 1999. In addition to performing, Simon leads the performance studies department at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI, where he directs one to two productions annually.
His stage credits include performances with In Tandem Theatre (Milwaukee, WI), Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, New American Theatre (Rockford, IL), American Players Theatre (Spring Green, WI), Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Theatre X (Milwaukee, WI), First Stage Children's Theatre (Milwaukee, WI), among others.
On camera, Simon has appeared in feature films, most recently starring as August Star in "The AUTHOR, THE STAR, AND THE KEEPER," produced by Salty Earth Pictures, as well as commercials and industrial projects. He is also a seasoned voice-over artist, featured in numerous instructional, business-to-business, and commercial recordings, with many credits listed on IMDB. Additionally, he voices the character Bernie in the puppet web series "Bernie Frankly."
As a devoted father of two daughters and a happily married man, Simon gravitates toward stories that are profound yet grounded in reality. He embraces roles with complex, darker elements to authentically convey compelling narratives.
Simon earned an MFA in Acting from the University of Texas-Austin, where he also participated in numerous student films, and holds a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
