In 1996, Dean Fronk partnered with Donald Pemrick to establish Ataraxia Entertainment Inc., operating as Pemrick/Fronk Casting (PFC). Over the past fifteen years, Pemrick/Fronk Casting has completed more than 250 projects, including feature films, made-for-TV movies, television series, and CD-ROMs. Specializing in family entertainment, Fronk has worked with young talents such as Shia LaBeouf, Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, Leighton Meester, Ben Foster, Haley Joel Osment, and Josh Hutcherson. A dedicated horror enthusiast, he cast numerous titles including Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses and Children of the Corn IV featuring Naomi Watts. Recently, PFC has contributed to many films for the Lifetime Movie Network and the Hallmark Channel. Their projects vary in budget, with casts ranging from Sony’s The Lodger—which earned Fronk his first Artios nomination and starred Alfred Molina, Hope Davis, and Simon Baker—to indie films featuring actors like John Cusack, Robert DeNiro, Cuba Gooding Jr., Val Kilmer, and Nicolas Cage. Beyond film and television, PFC also cast Blizzard Entertainment’s successful CD-ROMs, Diablo II and Warcraft III. Fronk has cast on location in cities including Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, Houston, Austin, Spokane, Santa Fe, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and New York. Internationally, he has cast films in Bulgaria, Canada, Prague, Italy, India, England, Spain, and Chile. His ability to collaborate with companies both domestically and abroad, along with a comprehensive understanding of producers, directors, and foreign sales agents, plus an open-door approach to the acting community, has allowed PFC to cast over two hundred projects since its founding. Additionally, Fronk maintains an active teaching and speaking career across the U.S., focusing on audition techniques designed to build confidence and success for actors everywhere. A graduate of Ohio State University, Fronk resides in Los Angeles with his wife Nichole and their three children: Dean, Scarlett, and Levon. He is also a current member of the Casting Society of America.
