Biyografi
Born on October 9, 1979, in Los Angeles, California, where he was raised and still resides. He attended the same grade school as former Phantom Planet member and actor Jason Schwartzman but lost touch with him until they were 14. Jason told his classmates he had a band but needed a singer, so he contacted Alex, remembering his singing ability, and Alex agreed. Shortly after, Phantom Planet was formed. Alongside his music career, Alex appeared in Gap commercials in 1999 ("Everybody in..." Cords, Leather, and Vests), showcasing his singing talent. He also acted in several films and made TV appearances, including Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996) with the band. His most notable film role was in Donnie Darko (2001), which starred his close friend Jake Gyllenhaal, Drew Barrymore, and Jena Malone. Currently, he is focusing on his musical career with Phantom Planet, which has released three well-received albums: "Phantom Planet...Is Missing" (1998), "The Guest" (2002), and "Phantom Planet" (2004). The band, consisting of Alex on vocals and guitar, Darren Robinson on lead guitar, Sam Farrar on bass and backup vocals, and Jeff Conrad on drums, frequently tours the United States.
