Alexander Stuart has collaborated with Angelina Jolie, Jodie Foster, Kiefer Sutherland, and Danny Boyle on films including Jonathan Glazer's Under The Skin, featuring Scarlett Johansson; Nicolas Roeg's Insignificance, starring Theresa Russell, Gary Busey, and Tony Curtis; and Tim Roth's adaptation of Stuart's acclaimed novel, The War Zone, with Tilda Swinton, Lara Belmont, Freddie Cunliffe, and Ray Winstone.
He has worked alongside prominent producers such as Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Bill Mechanic, Paul Webster, and Nick Wechsler, at major studios like Warner Bros, Paramount, Universal, Industry Entertainment, Film4, and various independent companies.
His screenwriting credits include adaptations of Michael Faber's Under The Skin, starring Scarlett Johansson; Whiteout, featuring Kate Beckinsale; Bill Buford's Among The Thugs, for Kiefer Sutherland; Toby Barlow's Sharp Teeth; Keith Scribner's The GoodLife; and Agatha Christie's Ordeal By Innocence, with Donald Sutherland and Faye Dunaway.
Stuart's non-fiction work about Florida, Life On Mars, was adapted into a two-hour television documentary titled The End of America.
His novels, non-fiction, and children's books have been published in eight languages worldwide. Residing in California, Stuart is a US citizen, a proud member of WGAWest, a devoted father, and a British-born Buddhist.
