Darren Sirell Cain is an American actor and producer with a diverse portfolio spanning top-rated television, independent films, broadcast and cable TV, as well as streaming platforms.
He will soon star as Senior Special Agent Jason Cole in the feature action-thriller Rift, premiering on Apple TV+. Jason Cole (Cain) is a classic Renaissance Man with a thriving career and a beautiful wife. As an FBI agent, he prides himself on integrity and diligence until his past resurfaces, thrusting him into a situation beyond his training and expertise. With time running out, one wrong move could cost him everything, with stakes far higher than he ever anticipated.
This year, Cain stars as Victor in the BET+ original thriller drama A Trophy Wife. Following the murder of a philandering tech CEO, every friend is a suspect, including Victor (Cain), the CEO’s greedy business partner.
Recently, Cain led as Keith 'Kilo' Thompson in the BET+ crime drama Prodigal. The story follows Kilo (Cain) as he endangers himself and loved ones after a deadly robbery, while being pursued by corrupt cops and drug lord Censear (Clifton Powell). Cain also portrayed Devin in the OWN original movie First Christmas, Vincent Boudreaux in the TV One true-crime thriller In Broad Daylight (starring Shad Moss and Chyna Layne), and appeared on BET Networks’ popular drama The Quad (2018).
On television, Cain held a strong recurring role as Peter Promnickle on Tyler Perry's BET+ original Bruh, and appeared in Coins for Christmas alongside Essence Atkins and Stephen Bishop.
Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, near Washington, D.C., and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Cain honed his talents through local youth organizations, theatre, performing arts, and high school broadcast journalism.
After enrolling at Perimeter College, Georgia State University College of Business, Cain immersed himself in university theatre and performing arts programs. Finding greater fulfillment and alignment with his career goals, he chose to leave his degree program early to pursue opportunities in entertainment.
Inspired by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson’s commercial success and mentored by Jesse Malinowski, CEO of Get Scene Studios, Cain underwent an intensive crash course in the entertainment industry. He focused on unlocking his artistic potential through scene study and immersive emotional exercises. Embracing various acting methods, Cain found a strong connection to Lee Strasberg's Method under the guidance of Tony Greco in Los Angeles.
Cain currently lives in Los Angeles with his beloved dog, Zoey, and is an active canine advocate supporting the Ace of Heart foster-based animal rescue program.
