Raised in the small town of St. Thomas, Ontario, Suzanne Cyr developed a passion for theatre and art early on. At 18, although initially planning to attend art school in Switzerland, she chose instead to move to Toronto to pursue a modeling career, where she found success as a Canadian model. Following casting directors' advice, Suzanne studied acting under renowned instructors such as Carol Rosenfeld at HB Studios, Lewis Baumander at LB Acting Studio, Sandra Balcovske at Second City, and David Smukler. Her first lead role as Victoria Wholeness in the short film Battle of the Bulge (Global) helped the film earn over 50 awards at international festivals, including a gold medal at the New York Film and Video Festival, a Certificate of Merit at the Chicago International Film Festival, and Canada’s Genie Award for Best Short Film. Suzanne has portrayed a wide variety of characters in acclaimed television and film projects, including Alfred Hitchcock Presents (CBS, NBC), Strange Justice (Showtime, Paramount), Get a Clue (Disney), When Love Is Not Enough: The Lois Wilson Story (CBS), Suits (USA Network), Cake (Lionsgate), The Great Defender (Warner Bros), and Covert Affairs (USA Network). She has acted alongside notable performers such as Alan Arkin, E.G. Marshall, Winona Ryder, Peter Strauss, Armand Assante, and Megan Follows. As a producer, her 30-minute short film Silent Song was broadcast on the Alliance Atlantis network. More recently, she starred in comedic lead roles in Christmas Wedding Runaway (Superchannel) and The Wedding Planners (Rogers). Suzanne also played the dramatic supporting lead role of Headmaster in the feature film Night Raiders, directed by Danis Goulet and executive produced by Taika Waititi. Night Raiders premiered at the 2021 Berlin Film Festival, was a gala presentation at TIFF 2021, and won five Canadian Screen Awards.
