Biyografi
Roman Koprivik was born on March 10, 1962, in Chrudim. He grew up in the North Bohemian city of Vrchlabí before moving to Prague. Since 1980, he has worked in various roles including librarian, night doorman, postman, and assistant director at Barrandov Studios in Prague. In 1987, he graduated from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, specializing in screenwriting and script editing.
Between 1987 and 1989, his radio adaptations such as Zločin v Orcivallu, Spravedlnost Arsena Lupina, and Kočár do Vídně were broadcast on Czechoslovakian radio, and his production Nekdo zaklepal na dveře was aired on Czechoslovakian television. From 1990 to 1992, he worked as a Czech radio editor and later pursued freelance work in advertising. Following this, he embarked on a career as a TV screenwriter and script editor, writing scripts for children’s and entertainment TV shows and editing several TV projects.
He authored a book inspired by his marketing career titled Prásk! Bum! Cvak!, which also served as a basis for a radio play. During this period, he published a series of short stories for Czech radio about Prague’s mysteries called Tichý poutník. After 2008, he worked as a script editor for long-running TV series including Rodinná pouta, Velmi křehké vztahy, Ordinace v růžové zahradě II, Vyprávěj, V.I.P. vraždy, V.I.P. vraždy II, and Temný kraj.
Koprivik also wrote scripts for radio detective stories Hříchy pro posluchače rozhlasu (based on a story by Dušan Klein), the TV film Hasiči, and the TV series Znamení koně and Znamení koně II. From 2017 to 2020, he served as head writer for the long-running TV series Modrý kód.
