Buzzell was born in Rockland, Maine, known as the lobster capital of the world. He grew up along the coast in Sanford, Maine, raised as Chris O'Maley by his mother, a hardworking woman he deeply admires who spent years laboring in various factories to support him, and his father, Terry O'Maley, an acclaimed watercolor artist and greeting card writer. His cousin, Edna St. Vincent Millay, was a celebrated American poet and playwright who won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1923.
Instead of channeling his artistic heritage into painting, Buzzell chose to pursue a career in stage and screen, building a successful entertainment career that spans over 35 years. While much of his time has been spent performing on stage and in front of the camera, he has also worked behind the scenes as a writer, casting director, director, and producer. Driven by integrity and optimism, Buzzell brings an energetic and intense passion to his work, resulting in satisfied clients and fans alike.
In film and television, Buzzell has had the privilege of working alongside some of the industry's best, including Oscar winners Matthew McConaughey, Stephen Gaghan, and Jeff Bridges, as well as Emmy winners Seth MacFarlane, Colin Bucksey, and Jimmy Romano. His collaborations also include stars like Josh Brolin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Wesley Snipes, Tony Goldwyn, Ashton Kutcher, and music legends Pink, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, and Snoop Dogg.
Buzzell has appeared in hundreds of commercials throughout his career, featuring notable brands such as Pepsi, Doritos, Ford, Callaway Golf, MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Nissan, Sonic, Volkswagen, Visa, and a personal favorite, the New England Patriots.
His multifaceted career began in stand-up comedy in 1986, inspired by icons Eddie Murphy and Sam Kinison. As a musician, he was the singer and songwriter for Naked Flesh and Attitude in the 1980s, followed by Ransak and Daddy Lawless in the 1990s. Ransak’s second album was produced by Jon Oliva, a member of Savatage and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Daddy Lawless earned the opening slot for the legendary band Stranger on their Angry Dogs tour. Stranger is notable partly because Johnny Depp’s Florida band, The Kids, also opened for them. Complementing his music career, Buzzell worked as a backup vocalist for Grammy Award-winning country star Brad Paisley and performed a duet with Grammy Award-winning country artist Lee Ann Womack.
