Biyografi
Tanveer Hossain is a Bangladeshi film producer passionate about discovering and nurturing bold stories from Asia. Since 2013, he has been serving as the Executive Director of Green Screen, a Dhaka-based production company where he focuses on fostering collaborations and building bridges between local and international storytellers.
His work has already brought historic milestones for Bangladeshi cinema on the global stage. In 2025, "ALI" by Adnan Al Rajeev, produced by Tanveer, won the Special Mention in the Short Film Competition at the 78th Festival DE Cannes-the first ever recognition for Bangladesh in Cannes. In 2024, "Radikals", a Filipino short film he co-produced, was selected at the 63rd Semaine DE la Critique in Cannes, further solidifying his role in fostering cross-Asian collaborations. His debut feature, "The Wrestler", won the New Currents Award at Busan International Film Festival 2023, one of Asia's most prestigious platforms for emerging filmmakers. His co-written and produced project in development "Red Lights Blue Angels" won 1st prizes both in West Meets East Screenplay Lab, Dhaka and Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF) Film Project Market & Lab, Vietnam.
As a producer in Green Tanveer has produced & written almost a hundred of TV drama episodes and a few TV commissioned short films. In addition to his film projects, currently, he is in the process of writing a graphic novel series KAPTAN, with the first issue set to be published soon.
To enhance his skills and knowledge in film production, Tanveer has graduated from International Film Business Academy (IFBA), a fellowship program of Busan Asian Film School (AFiS), 2023 and won the Prestigious 'Busan Film Commission Award' for his outstanding performance during the fellowship. Recently, he was also awarded a scholarship from International Emerging Film Talent Association (IEFTA) for ApostLab in Germany.
Tanveer's dedication to his craft is evident through his active participation in workshops and industry events like Asian Project Market 2022, Busan and BIFAN Industry Gathering NAFF It Project Market 2024, Bucheon in South Korea. He took part in the Producing Workshop at the NFDC Film Bazaar 2022, Asian Producer's Network (APN), a program of Singapore International Film Festival 2023, as well. He is currently an active member of New Asian Producer's Network (NAPNet). He is also an alumnus of AFiS x Produire Au Sud 2023, EAVE on demand Film Marketing in Quezon City, Philippines, 2024, APostLab, Germany, 2024.
From the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television (SARFT), Tanveer was invited in China as one of the Bangladeshi delegates to participate in the Film and Television Program Production and Distribution Seminar of the Silk Road Countries in Beijing and the 4th Silk Road International Film Festival in Fuzhou. Besides that he has actively participated in film festivals like Festival De Cannes, Busan International Film Festival, International Film Festival of India, Goa, Busan International Short Film Festival, Singapore International Film Festival, Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, Zurich Film Festival etc.
