Les Weldon (Producer) is a writer and producer with a diverse portfolio that spans action films, thrillers, comedies, science fiction, fantasy, and family movies.
His writing and producing credits exceed 70 films featuring stars such as Robert De Niro, Harrison Ford, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis, Gerard Butler, John Travolta, Jason Statham, Chuck Norris, Sir Ben Kingsley, Morgan Freeman, John Cusack, Antonio Banderas, Dolph Lundgren, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Jet Li, among others.
Born and raised in Brazil, Les moved to the United States at age 15 and graduated from Laguna Beach High School in Southern California.
He attended the University of Southern California, majoring in business administration with film electives.
Les has produced several successful movies and franchises, including The Expendables, which grossed $275 million worldwide and starred Stallone, Statham, Jet Li, and Mickey Rourke. He also produced The Expendables 2, which earned $305 million globally, The Expendables 3, and London Has Fallen, featuring Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, and Morgan Freeman.
Additionally, Les produced The Hitman's Bodyguard, starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, which held the #1 box office spot for three consecutive weekends. He then produced Angel Has Fallen, starring Gerard Butler, which also reached #1 at the box office.
Currently, Les is in post-production on Hitman's Bodyguard 2 and Jolt, starring Kate Beckinsale.
He resides in Sofia, Bulgaria.
