Martina Eileen Hernandez delas Alas-Sibayan (born November 11, 1964), known professionally as Ai-Ai delas Alas, is a Filipino film and television actress represented by Boy Abunda, the King of Talk. She rose to national fame with her 2003 hit film Ang Tanging Ina, which became a blockbuster. Due to the film's success, it spawned a TV series adaptation and three sequels: Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat (2008), Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To!) (2010), and Enteng ng Ina Mo (2011), all featuring delas Alas reprising her role. Her most recent film, Our Mighty Yaya, premiered on May 10, 2017, under Regal Entertainment.
Delas Alas is the daughter of Rosendo delas Alas (1920-2008) and Gregoria delas Alas (née Hernández; died December 30, 2013). She was later adopted by her older, unmarried aunt, Justa delas Alas. She graduated with a degree in mass communication from Far Eastern University (FEU) in 1985.
She was married to actor Miguel Vera, with whom she has two children, and she also has a son from a previous relationship. Prior to acting, she worked as a sales assistant in a department store and performed stand-up comedy in Metro Manila comedy bars. On April 3, 2013, she married Jed Salang, a 28-year-old unemployed man 20 years her junior; their marriage ended after one month, with their separation confirmed on May 19, 2013. In April 2017, delas Alas announced her engagement to Gerald Sibayan via Instagram, and they married in November 2017.
Ai-Ai delas Alas began her career with GMA Network in 1991 as a host of the late-night musical variety show RSVP alongside Dawn Zulueta and Ariel Urieta. She co-hosted several GMA noontime programs, including Lunch Date (1991–1993), SST: Salo-Salo Together (1993–1995), and Eat Bulaga! (2000). She was part of the cast of GMA sitcoms Ibang Klase (1997–1998) with Joey De Leon, Jessa Zaragosa, Mark Anthony Fernandez, and Aiza Seguerra, and 1 For 3 (1999–2001) alongside Vic Sotto and Rosanna Roces.
Her filmography includes numerous movies such as the blockbuster Ang Tanging Ina produced by Star Cinema. She starred in more comedy films like Volta, where she played a superhero, which also led to a television series adaptation. She was a lead host on the noontime show MTB: Ang Saya Saya and played a significant role as Dorina's mother in the prime-time TV remake of Bituing Walang Ningning. Other films she appeared in include Ang Cute Ng Ina Mo, Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat, and Pasukob.
Delas Alas released her debut album Ang Tanging Ina Nyo through Star Records, featuring six novelty songs. On the November 9 episode of ASAP 19, she premiered her single "Nandito Lang Ako" and announced her new stage name, ADA.
