Anna Prus is an award-winning television, film, and theater actress from Warsaw, Poland. She is well-known across Europe for her role in Xawery Żuławski's SNOW WHITE AND RUSSIAN RED, a film praised by critics as a dynamic exploration of the disaffected youth in post-Communist Poland. For her performance, Anna was nominated for the Golden Duck Award for Best Lead Actress in a motion picture.
Anna recently completed filming Dennis Delic's World War II drama, SQUADRON 303, which tells the true story of Polish Air Force fighter pilots who flew with Great Britain's Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain. The movie is based on the best-selling novel by Arkady Fiedler and is scheduled for worldwide release in the fall of 2018.
In 2015, Anna worked with Max Sturgeon on his feature debut, THANATOS, a film about three strangers, each harboring dark secrets, whose lives intersect. That same year, she starred in Kirill Belevich's EDINICHKA, which centers on a small Russian unit guarding a bridge in occupied Poland in 1944. The unit becomes concerned with a group of children hidden from the Germans by a reluctant nun, a role portrayed by Anna. For this performance, she received two Best Actress awards at Russian film festivals.
In 2007, Anna delivered a memorable performance in Maciej Odoliński's 7 MINUT, a film about a man whose life unravels after seven minutes of a regrettable action.
Anna graduated from the Ludwina Nowicka Theater School in Warsaw in 2002, followed by the Acting Studio LART in Krakow in 2004, and the European Film Academy in Berlin in 2005.
She is an active volunteer with Service Civil International (SCI), a non-political, non-profit, and non-religious organization. Anna is deeply committed to promoting a culture of peace worldwide and dedicates her time to volunteer work supporting human rights, non-violence, solidarity, and environmental respect through empowerment and cooperation.
Anna currently splits her time between Warsaw and Los Angeles and is fluent in four languages: English, German, Polish, and Russian.
