Chris Gardner was born in Detroit, Michigan, and spent much of his childhood attending inner-city public schools before earning a scholarship to Cranbrook-Kingswood, a private boarding school in Detroit's suburbs. It was there that he developed a passion for acting. After graduating, he pursued studies at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Manhattan. While in New York, he began appearing in commercials and secured his first television role as Ahmad Lalar, a young Muslim, on the acclaimed HBO series "Oz." Eventually, he relocated to Los Angeles, where within months he landed the role of Darren the Dell Intern in a commercial campaign for Dell computers. Since then, he has appeared in over 100 commercials and earned notable roles on shows such as "Hart of Dixie," "Pretty Little Liars," and "NCIS." His voice-over work covers radio, television, films, video games, and podcasts.
